After growing up in rural Kansas, attending college in New Orleans and Rome, and studying law in Newark, New Jersey, I am fortunate to have a wide array of life experiences that benefit me in my practice. I know people from all walks of life, which is critical whether I'm communicating with a client, negotiating with a prosecutor, or connecting with a juror who will decide the facts at trial.

I began my career in personal injury defense, arguing over money for an insurance company. While the experience was valuable and I worked with exceptional litigators, I did not find my true passion until I started practicing criminal defense in late 2013. Since then I have fought for clients facing charges that ranged from first degree murder to petty municipal violations, with numerous trial victories and positive outcomes.
